There are lots of programs on the Internet that allow you to learn Spanish. As in everything else, they are not created equal.

What I have done is study these programs to give you a better idea of which one might best suit your needs. 

Some programs are unfortunately based on the old "Don Quixote" Spanish Language. The problem with these programs is that the language has changed a lot since those days and you would learn an old language that barely any modern Spanish speaking person could understand. 

Some programs provide you with only a text book. Learning a new language requires way more than just reading phrases after phrases. 

The most effective method I found allows you not only to get text books you can study, but also provides you with an interactive audio system that you can listen to anywhere you want. It's also important to hear Spanish speaking people talk and being able to practice your Spanish pronunciation out loud.

There are many programs on the Internet that offer both written and audio material to learn Spanish, but I consider Rocket Spanish to be the best of them all.

Why?

1) It offers a downloadable version so you can start learning Spanish right away.

2) If focuses on teaching you conversational Spanish in a fun and natural way to make you progress at a phenomenal speed.

3) The price: under $100. Compared to other programs you can buy on the Net or at Book stores, these offer by far the best price-quality ratio you can find. 

Personally, I would not buy the CDs version of the program. If I decided to spend around $300 for a CDs version, I would get the Rosetta Stone Software Program (presented below). 

My recommandation:

If you are really serious about learning Spanish and want to get a proven method to become fluent in no time, visit Rocket Spanish and get the downloadable version at $99. I've recommended this program for many years and I've only received good positive feedback for everyone. 

More expensive, but the best in my opinion: Rosetta Stone Spanish: Language Learning Software

You definitely can't go wrong with Rosetta Stone Spanish: Language-Learning Software. This method is being used by millions of people and has been adopted by government agencies, corporations, like IBM, and thousands of schools around the world.
